There are so many different ways you can reuse furniture and get so many different looks. It helps especially when the larger pieces are classic & simple. NFID did up this simple twin bed & headboard with this Jab Ansteotz Sporty Check fabric. It is a gorgeous black and white gingham fabric. The bed was made by Lucyau via 4 Living in Calgary, AB. We had the opportunity to use this bed in three different kids bedrooms & accomplish three different looks:LU
1) The Pretty 4 Year Old Girls: This room includes custom white sheer drapery by NFID with a top panel made of Duralee 42387 col. 126 Pastel fabric. Just so that we could entice every 4 year old girl that walked into the room, we went over the top with a beautiful Harlequin Twinkle Toes Wallpaper from their Far Far Away Collection. The black and white gingham bed along with the mint green wool pillow and white dresser, drapery, and side table helps ground the pink.
2) The Hip 7 Year Old Girl: Sophisticated, stylish, & fun. This girl is too cool for bubblegum pink & is loving the world of coral & aqua. The black and white gingham twin bed helps keep this space feeling modern and fresh. The drapery fabric is Michael Millers Pippa Mermaid via Tonic Living, drapery by NFID.
3) The Handsome 6 Year Old Boy: In a neutral and monochromatic room, the black and white gingham bed adds pattern and fun interest. This room has lots of personality including the Charlie Chapman Ikea Pjatteryd artwork, custom double pinch pleat drapery by NFID with JF Fabrics Ashford Charcoal and a industrial Arteriors Table Lamp. Perfect space for any little man.
