Beach Boy’s Bedroom
Designing children’s bedrooms are always so much fun. Working together, brainstorming ideas with families gives us the optimal opportunity to create imaginative rooms. These creative designs then shine throughout the space. This Beach Boy’s Bedroom showcases a child’s unique interests and personality.
For this space, NFID created a beach theme, with a focus on sea elements. This boy bedroom has ocean blue tones spread throughout the room, giving us the feeling of being right at sea.
The furnishing and details for this space heavily focused on an ocean tide palette of blues and whites. The room displays a painted dark blue twin wooden bed with matching two drawer night stand. A navy Ikea duvet cover along with sham (Ikea ALVINE STRÅ) covers the bed, presenting the main colour palette for this space.
At the bottom edge of the bed, we placed two navy poufs on the floor. A perfect seating area for friends and family. On the right side of the bed is a retro vintage white floor lamp. A unique, yet classic retro piece on its own, with its two-lamp head feature.
Ride the Wave
Key pieces within the room often reflect and highlight the key theme of the space. One key item being the navy and white ocean art that is placed throughout the room. These art pieces are custom made prints, made specially for this room. In addition to the custom-made wave print pillow. This pillow is complete with feather/down insert and fabric designed by Kravet Jeffrey Alan Marks in Waterwave River 516.
Additional custom-made pieces are featured in this bedroom. Personalized pieces such as the coverlet placed on the end of the bed. A navy and white coverlet in fabric by Jeffrey Alan Marks Frame in River 516. NFID contributes to the personalized touch of the space. Drapes were created by NFID, matching the palette of the room. The drapes feature fabric in Duralee Fabric Stripe Blue 32662 – 5 blue and JF Fabrics polished chrome drapery hardware and grommets.
Each piece reflects back to the creative vision this family had for this boy bedroom, making it truly special place for this little boy!
